Beer Sensory

Cause of Flavour

Freshly cut grass occurs in alcoholic beverages - in beer due to wort boiling, hops and through aging effects on packaged beer. This flavour can be seen as a positive or an off-note and is associated with fresh beer flavours.

In non-alcoholic beverages this flavour is imparted due to water contamination with vegetation and other plant matter.
