For those unfamiliar, EuroSense is an international biannual event that gathers professionals, researchers and innovates from various career stages and diverse geographical regions in the field of sensory and consumer science. Hosted in cities across Europe, EuroSense provides a platform for academic presentations, industry-led workshops, and collaborative networking, making it a focal point for all professionals involved in sensory research.
This year’s theme is focused on ‘A Sense of Global Culture’, putting an emphasis on how an increasingly globalized world will shape the future of sensory and consumer science. The event will be held in the beautiful city of Dublin, Ireland at the Royal Dublin Society (RDS).
EuroSense2024 promises to include many topics related to where sensory challenges and outputs play a key role. With ever-changing lifestyle trends, there has been a shift in the way society approaches living, eating and the environment. There is a key focus on method development and optimisation in sensory science, where we leverage tools to address the challenges associated with promoting sustainable consumption.
Augmenting Human Sensory: FlavorActiV’s Continued Focus
There are many social and environmental factors that affect sensory responses to certain food and beverage products. By augmenting human sensory and controlling the environment of sensory panels, we can maximise sensory output and analyse results with confidence.
Human Sensory Augmentation remains an important focus for FlavorActiV. By using Analytical Instruments such as the Electronic Nose and microESR, we can boost optimization of sensory methodologies by developing standard procedures. At the same time, we ensure that human sensory perception is integrated into this process, ensuring that technology complements human expertise rather than replaces it.
FlavorActiV: Proud Presenters at EuroSense 2024
We are excited to be presenting a technical poster this year dedicated to ‘Augmenting Human Sensory and Proficiency Tasting Panels with Analytical Instruments using microESR and Electronic Nose Technology’.
You can join us in Hall 1 on Monday 9th September, between 13:30 – 14:30 and 16:30 – 17:30 (poster reference P1.167).
We’re looking forward to seeing you there!
